RFL Property Services (RFLPS) is proud to announce that its catering team has been shortlisted for Healthcare Caterer of the Year at the prestigious 2025 Foodservice Cateys. The nomination recognises outstanding innovation, commitment, and performance in catering across the healthcare sector.
Organised by The Caterer, the Foodservice Cateys shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes of foodservice, honouring the exceptional contributions made behind the scenes in sectors such as healthcare, education, business, and industry. This year’s ceremony will take place on Friday 10 October at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
Raising the Bar in Healthcare Catering
RFLPS delivers a comprehensive range of estates and facilities services across the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The catering team, led by catering manager Larry Rosenthal, plays a vital role in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to patients, staff, and visitors every day.
Speaking about the nomination, Jeremy Sharp, director of customer experience at RFLPS, said:
“To be recognised by the Foodservice Cateys is a true honour. It reflects the dedication and professionalism of our catering team, who consistently go above and beyond to support patient recovery and wellbeing through food. We’re incredibly proud of their efforts and thrilled to see them acknowledged on a national stage.”
Larry Rosenthal, catering manager, added:
“Being named among the best in healthcare catering nationwide is an incredible honour. We’re grateful for the opportunity to represent the Royal Free and to continue raising the bar in food service delivery.”
The shortlist celebrates teams who have not only maintained high standards in challenging environments but have also demonstrated creativity, efficiency, and a clear focus on service improvement.
A Commitment to Excellence
From implementing sustainability initiatives in food procurement to enhancing patient choice and nutritional care, RFLPS Catering continues to raise the standard of healthcare foodservice — aligning closely with the Trust’s wider mission of investing in the future of health.
The nomination comes at a time when the value of high-quality catering in health settings is increasingly recognised as essential to both clinical care and staff wellbeing.
Looking Ahead
The team will join other finalists from across the UK’s foodservice sector at the awards ceremony in October. Regardless of the outcome, this recognition already marks a major milestone for RFLPS and highlights the exceptional work being done across NHS support services.
Stay tuned for updates as we approach the awards night — and congratulations again to the entire RFLPS Catering team!
