Accessibility statement for RFL Property Services

This page was last updated on 23 October 2023.

This accessibility statement applies to www.rflps.co.uk.

This website is run by RFL Property Service. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.

For example, that means you should be able to:

  • use your web browser to change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300 per cent without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
  • access the website using a mobile or tablet.

On sections that don’t provide technical information, we’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

It passed all non-content tests apart from the following four items:

  • Heading elements are not in a sequentially-descending order
  • Links do not have a discernible name
  • Elements should not have tabindex greater than zero

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

  • some PDF documents, such as meeting board papers, are not fully accessible to screen reader software
  • embedded videos do not have captions or transcripts

PDFs and other documents

The majority of new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.

However, documents such as our trust board papers contain hundreds of pages including images, tables and charts, making them difficult to make fully accessible or convert them to HTML web pages.

We are committed to working to make these documents as accessible as possible.

Some other PDFs or Word documents published on our website since September 2018 which are currently not accessible to screen reader software, will be accessible by the end of December 2023.

WCAG 2.2

This website will be tested against the WCAG 2.2 standard (AA), which was published in October 2023, before the end of October 2024 at the latest.
